NEWS: See my blog on the fun I had writing From Lincoln To Trump, the complete opposite experience of writing Civil War and Bloody Peace. The new book is now available at https://tinyurl.com/y8y4wf3y. I am auditioning for another commercial, this one in Chicago paying a LOT more than my first one, which was more than I ever made before. Fingers crossed! I'll be shooting an archeaology video series the last two weekends in July, where volunteers are sought to help dig. More on that as I know it.
For those following my copper research, as of 7/7/20, the database is at 78,697. Now that FLT is put to bed, I plan on one copper read every day as I work on resource manuals. I thought of putting out the Wisconsin one first, but that one's going to be huge. I think I'll start instead with Michigan. If anyone knows a good Michigan publisher, let me know.
I removed "the Route Home," which is now available at the Bonanza Brand website. If you want me to send you a copy please email me here.
Commercial behind me, I am working on a blog of the experience, which was incredible! I never imagined making a commercial where I was the focus would be so intense. I only hope it turns out okay, and we'll see it as schedule sometime in July. I also got a professional photo done, but honestly, they never look like me to me. One friend suggested that maybe it's because I don't relax enough. That's probably true. Should have wine first!
Monette Bebow-Reinhard spent years, while raising children, satisfying her artistic bent by acting, directing and writing plays. She began writing movie scripts in 1975; in 1993 she gained access to the world of Bonanza through contact with its producer/creator, David Dortort. After three years, during which they wrote scripts together, she convinced him she could write Bonanza material, and became the next authorized Bonanza writer with two novels published, now in 2nd and 3rd editions. She continues to write movie scripts and has won several minor awards. Her first Bonanza novel, Felling of the Sons, won two awards; a first and a second place.
Bebow-Reinhard’s most recent publication is Civil War & Bloody Peace: Following Orders, a major nonfiction that began as her master's thesis. After 20 years of research to pull it together and 10 years of querying publishers, she felt the time was right to put it out herself.
